Changes at BCBSAZ Health Choice

BCBSAZ Health Choice and Steward Health Choice Generations is now owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.

With this change, we will be changing our plan names to BCBSAZ Health Choice and Health Choice Generations. What does this mean to you? The good news is that there is nothing that you need to do! In the meantime, here are some answers to the most commonly asked questions:

Will I have to change my primary care provider or specialist?

No. BCBSAZ Health Choice is planning to keep the same provider network as BCBSAZ Health Choice.

Can I use the same pharmacy?

Yes. BCBSAZ Health Choice is planning to use the same pharmacy network as BCBSAZ Health Choice.

Will I get a new ID card?

BCBSAZ Health Choice will send members a new ID card sometime in 2020. You will use the ID card you have now until you receive your new ID card.

Will there be changes in my benefits?

There will be no changes to member benefits.

Who do I call if I have a problem or complaint (for example, if I do not receive a return call from my provider)?

If you are not happy with the care you are receiving, try to solve any issues by talking directly with your provider. If the issue cannot be resolved, please call us at 1-800-322-8670 (TTY 711).

What if I have a Steward Health Choice Medicare Plan?

If you have Steward Health Choice Generation’s Medicare Plan, you will be able to keep your Medicare providers. Steward Health Choice Generations will also become a part of BCBSAZ.
