Get Your Annual Flu Vaccine

Everyone over the age of 6 months needs to get an influenza (flu) vaccine every season with rare exception. The seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and others from the flu. The flu is caused by viruses that infect your nose, throat and lungs.

Symptoms include:

  • Headache
  • Fever of 100 degrees or higher (not everyone will experience a fever)
  • Body aches
  • Sore throat
  • Feeling feverish or having chills
  • Coughing

Flu shots are available at no cost to you!

Flu shots are offered in many locations. You can always go to your doctor, local pharmacy or even your employer. If you are under 19, you must get your flu shot from a Vaccines for Children (VFC) provider (such as your Primary Care Provider).

A second dose separated by 28 days is required for children under the age of 9 if this is their first flu shot.

Please call Member Services at 1-800-322-8670 if you need help finding a location offering flu shots near you.
